Manual Handling Training

Manual Handling Training

All employers have legal responsibilities to train their staff and have a duty of care to their staff safety. Manual handling injuries account for over a third of workplace injuries. The manual handling operations regulations 1992 (ammended 2002) apply to a wide range of manual handling activities including, lifting and lowering, pushing and pulling and carrying.

Our detailed training package covers risk assessing and control measures associated with manual handling and develops an understanding of looking at alternative solutions to lifting through the use of automation and mechanical aids, along with this we look at anatomy and correct techniques and procedures for carrying out manual handling tasks.
